One of the most exhilarating things about life is its endless unpredictablility. I have a number of things to be delighted about tonight.

1. I'm here, at home, relatively alone. Husband and older kids went out of town to function, leaving me with time, glorious time, now that bedtime has been achieved.

2. Boys swept up a collective 4 Pinewood Derby trophies. Husband was a little teary. His mechanical efforts have never met with such success.

3. Sweet little 1-year-old loves opening song to "With Love"; makes an adorable spectacle of herself chatting to the characters as they walk and run and spin around.

4. Probe project Chapter 6 is well underway, and my interest in the project has received a generous boost. I Googled "chemical properties of Warfarin" and learned more than I ever cared to about the substance. It's sort of macabre to find myself investigating a drug for its viability as a murder/suicide weapon under various conditions.

5. Tonight I was discussing my writing project with my mother and she called me "unbelievable." I'm not sure whether that is a good thing or a bad thing. I'm pretty sure it was meant to be good.

Lovely. Now I will indulge in more quality time with my mind.
